MASTERING
Professional mastering is essential to producing a
professional sounding album. Mastering can help your final
mixes achieve more clarity, depth, power, punch, warmth,
sheen, character, atmosphere and a number of other
qualities. True mastering involves technical and creative
expertise, musical instinct and patience, all applied in
conjunction with the right selection of highly specialized
equipment. Pound for pound, professional mastering is the
best bargain in the entire recording & manufacturing
process.
STUDIO
Artists who are new to the mastering process are often
misinformed and unaware of the quality differences achieved
only by mastering in a studio specifically designed and
acoustically tuned for mastering audio. The equalization,
dynamics and integrity of your album should never be
compromised. Mastering is best performed by a specialist
approaching the project fresh, for the first time, in an
acoustically tuned mastering studio. Audio Lab is a
dedicated mastering studio that will make accurate and
quality decisions, polishing your final mixes to sound
their absolute best.
MASTERING PROCESS
Be aware that your final mixes aren't necessarily final;
adjustments can always be made during the mastering process
to improve your mixes. Undesirable recordings can be made
acceptable and great recordings can be transformed into
sonic masterpieces! After your recording has been mixed,
trust a virtuoso to properly add the finishing touches on
your music.
HEARING IS BELIEVING
Mastering is easier understood by hearing the difference as
it happens. Written and verbal descriptions cannot fully
translate the sonic benefits achieved through mastering.
SESSION
Mastering a full-length album can often take a day.
However, studio time varies according to a number of
factors regarding your recording. You are encouraged to
attend the session. A copy of your production master is
made at the end of the session for your review. Listen to
your master! Contact us within one week with approval or to
request any changes. Payment is due at the end of each
session.
